OUR STORY

RYMY Consulting's story began in 2021, when a one-person consulting firm was established to meet the growing need in the construction industry for building information modelling (BIM) solutions. The company was originally known as RM Ylimäki Oy, but as our business grew and our services evolved, we re-branded to Rymy Consulting – or more familiarly, RYMY. Today, we employ two people.

Although the company is young, we have over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and more than 15 years of expertise in building information modelling. Based on this knowledge, we specialize in BIM services, helping our clients streamline their processes and improve project efficiency.

Our client base is broad and diverse including structural design offices, construction companies, product component manufacturers and municipal building authorities. We also offer comprehensive trainings for Tekla Structures, Trimlbe Connect and Solibri software.


Our Mission

We aim to clarify, improve and increase the use of building information modelling in the construction industry and help industry players utilize it more effectively. Our goal is to support and train in the integration of design software and production control systems. Through our services, we facilitate the smooth integration of systems and the development of staff expertise, reducing manual work and improving industrial processes. MARKUS YLIMÄKI, 
Founder, CEO

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and have over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. For the past 15 years, I have specialized in Building Information Modelling (BIM), working at structural design firms such as WSP Finland Oy and A-Insinöörit Oy as both a designer and a lead user of Tekla Structures software. Additionally, I served as a Development Engineer at Skanska Oy, where I was responsible for advancing BIM practices in both design and production management. My experience also extends to the municipal sector, including various collaborative projects and duties as a building inspector.
