2025 was anything but quiet at RYMY. We kept the business running alongside our day jobs. Still, from a communications perspective, the year was quieter — and for a good reason.

RYMY Consulting – design, BIM models, tools and site management support for construction and industrial projects
In construction projects, the quality of design is ultimately proven in execution. Our role is to ensure that structures are engineered realistically and that the digital tools in use support design, production and site work — rather than creating bottlenecks.
When structural design, BIM models and software support each other, project control becomes clearer and the number of errors decreases. Compatible models, clear drawings and effective model coordination create a solid foundation for cost-efficient production and a well-managed schedule.
At RYMY, design is not a standalone activity — it is built to support production planning and site delivery. When required, we also bring in site management and project coordination to keep interfaces, schedules and changes under control. We make sure that designs, models, systems and on-site execution stay aligned and consistent throughout the project.
How we support project progress
Site & Project Management Support
We provide site and project management support for construction and industrial projects such as data centres, power plants, renewable energy developments and other demanding industrial environments. We establish clear situational awareness, a reliable weekly cadence and hands-on coordination so interfaces, schedules and changes remain controlled.
Roles are scaled to match the requirement — from site engineers and site managers to project and production engineers, as well as project managers.
Structural Engineering Services
We provide structural and steel structure design for projects ranging from residential buildings to demanding industrial projects. Our work is based on extensive hands-on experience and an understanding of how plans move smoothly forward into production and execution.
Structural design
We deliver concrete and timber structural design for detached houses, small residential projects and larger construction projects. Our scope covers everything from foundation plans to structural framing solutions. We work in both 2D and 3D depending on project requirements.
Steel structure design
We design steel structures primarily for industrial sites — from smaller structures such as platforms and stair towers to large steel assemblies. We use Tekla Structures and take care of modelling, connection and strength calculations, as well as installation and fabrication drawings. We also coordinate models produced by other design offices to ensure compatibility within the Tekla Powerfab environment.
Software Services and Software Training
We help our clients make effective use of Tekla Structures, Trimble Connect, Solibri and Tekla Powerfab as part of a smooth design and production process. We provide training, implementations and development support to improve information flow and reduce manual work across different project phases.
BIM Services
Our BIM services include modelling, model coordination and 4D scheduling for site logistics. These services support design, production and site work throughout the project lifecycle and ensure that information remains up-to-date, coordinated and practical to use. Model coordination and 4D scheduling bring smooth collaboration, schedule control and logistics planning into the project before construction begins.
When design meets production
We bring design, BIM models and software into a functional whole. Our experience spans from construction sites to project management and machine shop environments.
Let's discuss your project.
Why RYMY Consulting?
Our long practical experience in construction and industrial projects shows in the way we design and deliver.
RYMY brings together structural design, BIM expertise and Trimble solutions so that information flows from design to production and on site. We work in a practical way — clear drawings, compatible models and smooth collaboration.
-
We understand the full chain from the design desk to the workshop and the construction site
-
We know what information is needed — and when
-
Our solutions are grounded in real hands-on project experience
We don't offer one-size-fits-all templates — we build solutions based on the real needs of the project and the client. We help ensure that plans and digital tools support smooth progress and a high-quality end result.
Blog
We write about practical insights at the intersection of design, production and BIM.
In 2009, I took a laptop to the construction site and opened the BIM model for the installation crew. At the time, that was not yet standard practice, even though model-based design was already common in design offices. This industrial project showed in concrete terms how much up-to-date information, clear interfaces, and a shared understanding of...
I started in construction industry at the age of 16 as a summer worker. My job was to paint staff facilities in Oulu, Finland – a Walkman in my pocket and paint on my shoes. In this article, I share how that beginning eventually led me into structural design, BIM and digital models, and ultimately entrepreneurship – and what...
When the schedule is tight and installation needs to keep moving as planned, the main task of design is to make sure the solution is practical to fabricate and straightforward to install. RYMY delivered model-based workshop and erection planning for a project in Northern Sweden in collaboration with LTR-Rakennus Ltd.
